    Renovation Update – Day 12

Masonry work are mostly done up and we’re quite happy with the overall results. The only worry is that we haven’t really see in detail the extend of the worksmanship. On the surface, it looks like what we expected it to be.

Renovation Update as of Day 12:

    • Kitchen tiles almost done
    • Common Bathroom done, except for the ledge
    • MBR Bathroom done, except for the ledge

    Here are some pics!

    Next up this week:

    • Electricity works in the kitchen
    • Aircon installation
    • Our favourite brick wall!

Look out for the next update!

    Renovation Day 8

    Update as of Day 8;

Electrical works half done (electrical lines were layed). However, my uncle commented that he might re-use the current SCV point which uses a splitter between two rooms. Not sure what the impact might be though, but now it seems to me that what he is charging us for the electrical works is really value for money, especially after I heard from my future brother-in-law that he saw 6 electricians working on it yesterday afternoon.

No new photos to show since there was no light as the electrical works are ongoing. However, I took some photos on 16 Oct 10, and it seems that the contractor did some works in the morning as some parts of the kitchen were wet when we got there. Progress has been good so far, with the majority of the masonry works completed. Here are the photos!

    Renovation Update

It was our first time seeing our house after 3 days of hacking. Felt really excited since it is our first time seeing the house in the ‘knocked-down’ state. The first impression that I had was “Wow! It’s really messy! But the good thing is that we can tell that things are in a very manageable state with the workers doing whatever they are assigned by Ronny. So far, our impression with RenoZone has been quite good and hopefully, it will be like this throughout the entire renovation. Here’re some pictures of the current state of our house.

Fully Hacked Kitchen - The kitchen seemed to have shrink in size!

New Tiles for the Kitchen & Bathroom!

    Common Room 2

    MBR & Common Room 1

    Master Bedroom

Up next is to raise the various walls, and do tilings in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms followed by electrical works, courtesy of my uncle’s help!
